It’s safe to say that glasses are here to stay. Even though they can sometimes be a pain, they offer us a level of clarity and functionality that contacts just can’t compete with. However, that doesn’t mean that all of the annoyances associated with wearing glasses are simply unavoidable. In this blog post, we will discuss some hacks that will help you fix some of the most common problems with glasses!

1. Remove scratches with toothpaste:

If your glasses are looking a little worse for wear, you can easily fix them up with some toothpaste. Just apply a small amount of toothpaste to a soft cloth and rub it into the scratches. You should see them start to disappear immediately. Once you’re finished, just rinse the lens off with some water and you’ll be good to go!

2. Prevent fogging with soap:

If you’ve ever had your glasses fog up on you, then you know how annoying it can be. Luckily, there’s an easy fix for this problem too. Just run your lenses under some warm water and then rub a small amount of soap onto them. Once you’ve done that, rinse them off and dry them with a soft cloth. The soap creates a thin barrier on the lens that prevents fog from forming.

2. Keep them from slipping with nose pads:

If your glasses are constantly sliding down your nose, then you need to invest in some nose pads. These small pieces of silicone adhere to the nose bridge of your glasses and help to keep them in place. You can find them at most drugstores or online.

4. Use a table to straighten crooked glasses:

This is a super easy hack that will only take you a few seconds to do. All you need is a hard, flat surface — like a table. Place your glasses on the table so that the lenses are facing down. Use your fingers to gently push the arms of the glasses until they are in line with the lenses.

5. Create your own DIY lens cleaner:

One of the most annoying things about glasses is that they are constantly getting dirty. If you don’t have a lens cleaner handy, this can be a huge pain. However, did you know that you can easily create your own DIY lens cleaner with just a few household items? All you need is some distilled water, rubbing alcohol, and a clean cloth. Simply mix equal parts of the water and alcohol, and voila — you have your own lens cleaner that will work just as well as the expensive store-bought kind!

6. Easily see your eyeglass case in the dark:

If you’re like me, you are constantly misplacing your eyeglass case. It seems like no matter how carefully I put it away, I can never seem to find it when I need it. And of course, this always happens when I need my glasses the most — like first thing in the morning or right before bed.

Luckily, there is a super simple hack that will help you easily find your eyeglass case in the dark. All you need is a piece of tape and a highlighter. Just attach the tape to the outside of your eyeglass case and then use the highlighter to write “glasses” on it. Now, when you’re fumbling around in the dark, you’ll be able to easily see and find your case!

7. Fix loose screws on your eyeglasses:

Have you ever been going about your day and suddenly realized that one of the screws on your glasses has come loose? This can be a major pain, especially if you don’t have a screwdriver on hand. Luckily, there is an easy fix for this problem too. All you need is a bit of clear nail polish. Just apply the nail polish to the loose screw and let it dry. This will hold the screw in place until you can get to a proper screwdriver and tighten it up.

There you have it — seven simple hacks to help you fix some of the most annoying problems with your glasses. Just remember to be careful when cleaning your lenses and to always keep a spare pair of glasses on hand in case of an emergency. Thanks for reading!
