We all know that life can be crazy sometimes. We get really busy, and it feels like everything we need to do is so hard. But there are some life hacks that can help make our everyday lives just a little bit simpler and easier. In this list, I’ve compiled some of my favorite life hacks that gave me ah-has that helped me improve my life in small and simple ways. Enjoy!
1. Store peanut butter upside down
One of my favorite life hacks is peanut butter upside down. This hack helps me save time in the morning by making my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ahead of time. I simply take a piece of bread, spread peanut butter on one side, and then put jelly on the other side. Then, I place the bread back in the loaf wrapper and store it in the fridge. In the morning, all I have to do is grab a sandwich and go!
2. Placing your phone in a ceramic bowl
This may sound strange, but it really works! When you place your phone in a bowl, it amplifies the sound of your ringtone, so you’re less likely to miss a call. Plus, it looks really cool!
3. Reusing soda pop tabs
I used to always throw them away, but then I realized that they can actually be reused in a lot of different ways. For example, you can use them to open bottles or cans. You can also use them to hold onto your keys so you don’t lose them. And if you’re ever in a bind and need a quick fix for a broken strap on your bag or purse, you can use a soda pop tab to hold it together until you can get it fixed properly. There are so many uses for soda pop tabs, and they’re all so helpful!
4. Lint roller for cleaning purse
It’s so quick and easy, and it really helps keep my purse looking clean and new. I also love using dryer sheets to help remove static from my hair. Just rub a dryer sheet over your hair, and the static will be gone!
5. Cardboard soda can dispensers as soup can dispensers
I always used to have a hard time reaching the back of my cupboard to get the soup cans, but now with this hack, I can just pull out the cardboard dispenser and easily grab the can I need. This has been such a lifesaver for me, and it’s so simple!
6. Using tongs to squeeze the juice out of citrus fruits.
This hack has saved me so much time and effort, and it’s so simple! All you need to do is cut your citrus fruit in half, and then place it on a plate with the cut side up. Next, take a pair of tongs and place them on top of the citrus fruit. Apply pressure and roll the tongs back and forth, and you’ll see the juice start to squirt out! This hack is so much easier than using a juicer, and it works with any type of citrus fruit.
7. Turned some slippers and a table runner into a very useful couch caddy.
This has been such a lifesaver for me, because I can never seem to find my remote control or my TV guide when I need them. With this hack, they’re always right where I need them.
8. Sanitize legos by placing them in a big mesh bag
One of my favorite life hacks is to sanitize legos by placing them in a big mesh bag. This hack has helped me keep my kids’ toys clean and germ-free.
9. Attaching a magnet to the bottom of your favorite hammer.
Another life hacks is attaching a magnet to the bottom of your favorite hammer. This way, when you’re working on a project and you need to use a screwdriver, the hammer will be right there waiting for you.
10. A marshmallow in the bottom of your ice cream cone to prevent the ice cream from spilling.
I don’t know about you, but I always seem to get ice cream all over my hands when I eat it. This little life hack prevents that from happening.
